Biography
Dani Korya, MD, is board certified by the American Board of Neurology and Psychiatry with additional certification in specialized areas of brain injury medicine, vascular neurology, and fellowship training in neuro critical care and endovascular surgery. Dr. Korya has extensive expertise in the evaluation of patients who have suffered brain injury related to a serious sporting injury, automobile accident, fall, or other traumatic event leading to symptoms such as a loss of consciousness, seizures, change in cognitive function, deficit to memory, balance dysfunction, sensitivity to stimuli, headache or changes in hearing, vision, sleep disturbances, or other long-term sequelae of the brain.
Dr. Korya utilizes advanced imaging techniques, neurological examination, and cognitive and psychological testing to evaluate patients for post-concussion syndrome, neuromuscular disorders, and persistent headaches. Often, the symptoms of traumatic brain injury remain undiagnosed and linger untreated for months, if not years. When traumatic injury impairs normal brain function, Dr. Korya can assess and document the associated dysfunction and symptoms, working with a multi-specialty team that includes neuropsychologists, neuromuscular therapists, cognitive and behavioral therapists, and interventional physiatrists to implement treatment plans to address the emotional, physical, cognitive, and sleep-related symptoms.
Dr. Korya prioritizes individualized programs to restore neural function and patient quality of life. Additionally, he can expertly define the permanency and impairment related to traumatic brain injury and determine a patient’s long-term prognosis.
