Biography
Brian Goldman, DO, is a fellowship-trained Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in sports medicine and joint preservation of the shoulder and knee. He also has extensive training in non-surgical and injection-based treatments for joint preservation and recovery from acute injuries.
Dr. Goldman received his Doctor of Osteopathy at Western University College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific in Pomona, CA. He then went on to complete his residency in Orthopedic Surgery at Larkin Community Hospital in Miami, FL.
Dr. Goldman completed his fellowship in sports medicine in Detroit, where his training focused on shoulder, elbow, hip, and knee injuries in patients ranging from adolescents to seniors. During his fellowship, he had the privilege of managing care for high school- and college-level athletes, including NCAA Division 1 athletes. He also gained experience covering for the NBA Detroit Pistons basketball team.
Dr. Goldman was drawn to sports medicine because it allows him to treat patients of all ages and levels of activity. In practice, Dr. Goldman offers his patients detailed examinations using advanced imaging to develop customized treatment plans tailored to his patients’ individual needs. When possible, Dr. Goldman exhausts all non-surgical treatment options before resorting to the surgical management of a condition.
