- Nerve Impingement
Liam Fitzpatrick, MD, is dual board-certified in both Anesthesia and Pain Management. He also received fellowship training in Interventional Pain Management. Although born in Gainesville, Florida, Dr. Fitzpatrick grew up on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
After receiving his bachelor’s degree in nursing, he worked for six years as a nurse in the intensive care unit, emergency department, and operating room. His work experience led him to want a more active role in the management of his patients’ care. Meeting all the academic requirements, he enrolled in medical school and eventually completed an anesthesiology residency and interventional pain management fellowship. While in training, his interactions with patients struggling with pain convinced him to dedicate his career to helping people find relief and restore function.
Dr. Fitzpatrick has received specialized training in the management and treatment of disorders of the spine (disc herniation, disc degeneration, spinal stenosis), nonsurgical treatment of the hip, knee, and shoulder, peripheral neuropathy, and myofascial and musculoskeletal pain. He believes in a multidisciplinary approach to treating pain, using state-of-the-art procedures combined with compassion and care to help patients regain an active lifestyle.
